I managed to waste both Honor and gold in spectacular fashion today. Impressive, even for me.
I blew 7500 Honor on that shoulder pattern I’d been eyeing for weeks. Then I ran myself ragged gathering everything else I needed. The heraldries alone took me half a day to earn. I was so proud of myself when I finally had it all together. Felt like I was finally being smart about my gear for once.
So I found a tailor in the city and asked them to make the shoulders for me. They came out looking beautiful. And when they arrived in the mail, I smiled and thought, finally, something is going right.
I tried to wear them and I couldn’t equip them.
I’d already put that kind of power into two other pieces. I don’t even know where I got the idea I could have more. I just… assumed. Like an idiot.
I dragged myself halfway across the world to ask that crooked little vendor for help. Naturally, whatever he sells doesn’t work on anything new. Of course it didn’t. I knew it wouldn’t before I even left, but I went anyway. Because apparently I enjoy punishing myself.
I’ve been haunting the trade district all evening, asking anyone who looks like they know tailoring if they can help me undo this. Most of them just gave me that look. The one that says you should have known better.
I’m so tired I could cry. My coin purse is empty and my honor feels wasted. And I’ll probably do something just as stupid tomorrow.
