Shoulders or Gloves? (Send Help)

I stood at the Quartermaster for twenty-three minutes today.

I had the Honor right there in my bag. Everything I needed was laid out in front of me on his little table. And yet I couldn’t make myself hand it over.

Do I want the set bonuses to be shoulders or gloves? What if the boots would help more with my movement and the belt gives better stats overall? What if I pick wrong and regret it for the next two weeks?

I pulled out a scrap of parchment and started scribbling numbers like a lunatic, comparing Versatility here, Haste there, trying to make the math work in my head while the line behind me kept growing. I could feel the side-eye burning into the back of my neck. Some orc warrior actually sighed loud enough for the whole square to hear. A couple of mages started muttering. I just kept scribbling.

I eventually went with the gloves.

Then I spent the next three battlegrounds convinced I should have bought the shoulders instead. Or maybe the boots. Or the belt. Who knows. Classic me.

Abeke would have just grabbed whatever looked shiny and laughed if she got the wrong piece. Me? I’m over here having a full existential crisis over a couple pieces of gear while half the Quartermaster line wants to strangle me.

Why am I like this?
